ARTICLE III
FACULTY APPOINTMENT
Section 1 SUBJECT TEACHERS
General Responsibilities
The teachers of Immaculada Concepcion College are responsible for the formation of the
students through effective teaching of their subjects. They, aware of the objectives of the subject
they are teaching should integrate the different aspects of education with ICC guiding principles,
vision and mission of the school.
The subject teachers should:
1) Integrate ICC’s V/M and Core Values in their lessons;
2) Implement the school’s academic and instructional program;
3) Relate with the Level Coordinator as their immediate head;
4) Relate with students in promoting mutual respect and understanding;
5) Recognize the students’ individual differences;
6) Comply with the demands of teaching evaluation as stated in the Faculty Performance
Evaluation form;
7) Observe the procedures and regulations regarding
a. Evaluation of student’s academic performance based on the agreed criteria
b. Checking of student’s attendance and punctuality
c. Proctoring of examinations
d. Computation of grades
e. Accomplishing DepEd Forms
8) Organize and supervise on and off campus activities and other student’s activities;
9) Be available for discussion of academic or departmental matters with parents and
individuals students;
10) Acquaints themselves and comply with the Code of Ethics provided for in this Faculty
Manual;
11) Maintain an orderly conduct of classes at all times;
12) Be always ready to substitute for absent faculty members;
13) Attend the following:
a. Orientation program before the opening of classes.
b. Faculty meetings (institutional, departmental or committee meetings).
c. Parents-teachers conferences and school-organized parents’ assembly.
d. Formation sessions as retreat/recollections, Immaculadian’s values formation
programs and other activities.
e. School-sponsored seminar.
f. School masses or Christian services gathering.
g. Thanksgiving mass and graduation exercises.
h. Students’ academic assemblies and convocations.
i. Seminars outside.
j. Other school activities and programs such as Christmas party, Teacher’s day
celebration, Foundation Week, etc.
14) Continuously update themselves in their areas of specialization;
15) Work with the guidance and counseling office in the total development of the students;
16) Be responsible for the instructional materials and facilities entrusted to them;
17) Be open to volunteer in outreach program activities in and outside of the school in order
to promote social and civic consciousness;
