B.  Seating Arrangement


                                  i.  It is advised that the seating arrangement be done alphabetically during the first
                                     few weeks of classes to give time for the teachers to know their students better
                                     and to facilitate the checking of attendance.
                                  ii.  At  the  middle  of  the  school  year,  other  seating  arrangements  can  be  made
                                     according  to  the  needs  of  a  particular  class  and  to  respond  to  the  individual
                                     needs of students with difficulties or problems.

                              C.  Class Attendance Sheet

                                  i.  The  class  adviser  will  receive  from  the  class  secretary  the  filled  out  class
                                     attendance  sheet by  the end  of  the day.  As  a  routine  procedure,  checking  the
                                     attendance should be made at the beginning of every class period.
                                  ii.  Attention of students who are found to cut their classes or late in reporting to
                                     class  should  be  called  and  their  names  should  be  submitted  to  the  Guidance
                                     office.
                                 iii.  Parents of students who have been habitually absent or tardy should be notified
                                     in writing by the Guidance Officer.

                              D.  Student In Transit

                                  i.  Teachers should discourage students from going out during class periods.
                                  ii.  Students  being  taken  from one  place  to  another  should not disrupt  in  anyway
                                     anybody in other classrooms.
                                 iii.  No student should be asked to run errands for teachers. Students should not be
                                     asked to get teacher’s things in the faculty room, to purchase anything from the
                                     canteen or the bookstore or to attend to the personal needs of a teacher.

                              E.  Classroom Routine

                              Effective  instruction  and  discipline  result  from  the  proper  classroom  routine  and  the
                       maintenance of a positive teaching learning atmosphere. Thus, teachers are expected to carefully
                       supervise the following:

                              ➢  Starting Class
                              The teacher . . .
                              1. sees to it that the classroom is clean and orderly.

                              2. starts only when the class is in a proper disposition for prayer.
                              3. uses an energizer to put the students in a good state.

                              4. gives a recap of the previous lesson.

                              ➢  Assessments/Seat Work
                              The students . . .
                              1.  clear their desks and put away all unnecessary things
                              2.  are seated one seat apart

                              3.  are seated in alphabetical order
