alternate day, it is perfectly alright. Similarly, the world won’t change
if you skip your morning walk for few days. But think of it in this way:
do these people have to motivate themselves to go out for a morning

walk or take a shower every day? No, they don’t have to because
they have developed it as their habits.

If you develop an activity into a habit, the best part is that you do not
have to push yourself to do it, you do not feel lazy, your body does
not stop you, your mind does not stop you, and you are excited
about it. You look forward to do it.

Now imagine a person who has been asked to go for morning walks
every day without fail. This is a new activity for him but now he has
to do it every day. Since it was not his habit, he will have to motivate
himself to go out for morning walks; he will have to fight with his
mind daily. He will have to persuade himself to go for a walk daily.

Once he stops pushing and motivating himself, he will stop going out
for morning walks altogether. This means that he would fail to
achieve his target, going for a walk every day.

But the problem is not that he failed to do it daily. The bigger issue is
that he started with a new activity but was not able to convert it into a
habit. This will make him look at all new things with a negative

outlook. Whenever he will try to start anything new in his life, he will
always have the feeling that he will not be able to do it. He will lose
his self-confidence. He would lose respect for himself, and slowly he
will start developing a feeling of hatred towards himself, which can
                also be called inferiority complex.

He would avoid taking up new things, because he will try to convince
himself that doing new things are not his forte, it is something which
is beyond his capabilities. He will say to himself “Let everything keep
going as it is, nothing is going to change even if I try to do something
new”. If someone suggests him to change anything in the future he
will not do it, he will ignore the good suggestions because deep
inside he starts believing that he cannot do anything new. But on the

other hand, if he had developed going for morning walks as a habit,
