의성 월소리 소나무(경상북도 기념물 제97호,
수령 약 200년)는 의성군 안사면 월소리에 있는
보호수이다.
높이는 11m, 줄기 직경은 약 1m이다.
줄기에서 세 갈래의 큰 가지가 위로 뻗어 웅장한
모습을 하고 있으며, 자라나는 상태가 좋다.
전해지는 바에 따르면 조선 중기 광해군 때
평산 신씨가 마을에 정착하면서 심었다고 하며,
현재 당산목 또는 마을 수호목으로 주민들의
보호를 받고 있다.

The Wolso-ri Pine in Uiseong (Gyeongsangbuk-
do Monument No. 97, approx. 200 years old)
is a protected tree located in Wolso-ri, Ansa-
myeon, Uiseong-gun.
It stands 11 meters tall with a trunk diameter
of about 1 meter. Three large branches rise
upward from the trunk, giving the tree a
majestic appearance, and it remains in good
health.
According to tradition, it was planted during
the reign of King Gwanghaegun in the mid-
Joseon period, when a member of the
Pyeongsan Shin clan settled in the village.
Today, it is preserved by local residents as a
Dangsanmok (sacred village guardian tree).
