Configuring a Monitor

Alternately, press the ‘Start Auto Learning’ button to begin a 24-hour cycle during which
the monitor selects Alert thresholds based on the data collected during that 24 hours. Refer
to the appropriate monitor User Manual for details about the Auto-Learning mode.

Note:
The asset must be online to produce valid results from an Auto-Learn
cycle.

Note:
If the monitor is currently performing an Auto-Learn cycle, the auto-
learn button can be used to stop the cycle if desired.

IMPORTANT:
Once Auto-Learn is complete use the Synchronization feature in
SMView to import the new Alert thresholds into the database; refer to

Section 9.4.9.
