Configuring a Monitor
7.7. SM Technology Settings
SM monitoring technologies are available on multiple types of monitors, but the
configuration process is the same on all of them.
7.7.1. SM Input Settings
The SM Input configuration displays the configuration for the SM inputs. Press the ‘Shaft
Monitor’ button on the ribbon.
Confirm that the input configuration and sensitivities are correct; if any changes are
needed, exit the SM configuration and edit the SM sensors to make the changes.

7.7.2. SM Alert Settings
The SM Alert configuration displays the Alert thresholds for the SM inputs. Press the
‘SM Alerts’ button on the ribbon.
Enter the Alert thresholds in RMS for each input:
• Input 1 High Voltage Alert is the maximum voltage threshold for the GV input.
• Input 1 Low Current Alert is the minimum current threshold for the G1 input.
• Input 1 High Current Alert is the maximum current threshold for the G1 input.
• Input 2 High Voltage Alert is the maximum voltage threshold for the TV input.
• Input 2 Low Current Alert is the minimum current threshold for the G2 input.
• Input 2 High Current Alert is the maximum current threshold for the G2 input.
