Configuring a Monitor




                                       Note:
                                       Partial  discharge  activity  typically  changes  slowly  over  months  or
                                       years.  While it is possible to use the User Defined Trigger to collect
                                       daily  data  (or  even  more),  this  will  only  unnecessarily  inflate  the
                                       database for no benefit.

                                       The recommended use of the User Defined Trigger is to capture a
                                       brief  period  of  rapid  data  collection  after  maintenance  activity  that
                                       could affect the PD levels or to capture transient spikes in PD activity.

                          Pressing the ‘Load Defaults’ button will calculate all of these values based on the asset
                       ratings:
                          •  ‘Full Load (min)’ is set to 80% of the rated load.
                          •  ‘Reduced Load (max)’ is set to 50% of the rated load.

                          •  ‘Hot (min)’ is set to 80% of the rated temperature.
                          •  ‘Cold (max)’ is set to 70% of the rated temperature.

                          Once the data is entered, review it and make sure that it is correct.  Then press the
                       ‘Confirm’ button.
