GuardII+ Operation
4.5.3. Alert State
When GuardII+ enters the Alert state, the following occurs:
• The Alert Relay is activated (as it is configured in IAM).
• Depending on the specific monitoring technology, the measurement that caused the
Alert may have an additional effect such as saving the measurement in the Archive.
• The front panel Alert indicator turns amber. Refer to Section 8 for full details on the
indicator functions.

• The Alert indicators on the inside of the monitor are updated to reflect the Alert status.

• The Alert Modbus data is updated.
4.5.4. Stale Alert State
After an Alert has been triggered, measurement results may sometimes change back to a
non-Alerted state. When this occurs, the monitor changes the Alert status to a ‘stale’ state,
meaning that there was an Alert, but it is no longer occurring.
• In a stale Alert state, the Alert indicator on the front panel will start to blink amber.
• The Alert Relay will de-activate.
• The Alert Modbus data is updated.
