GuardII+ Operation

              4.5.5. Alert Test States

The Alert also has two test states that can be used for checking the Alert Relay operation.
The Alert Relay is put into test states by using the Alert button; refer to Section 6.5.1 for details.

                        • In the basic Alert Test mode, the Alert Relay performs its programmed operation. For
example, if the Alert Relay is configured for Momentary Normally Open operation, then
the Alert Test mode will close the Alert Relay for 4 seconds and then open it again.
                        • In the Forced Alert mode, the Alert Relay is forced into its active state until it is cleared.
For example, if the Alert Relay is configured for Momentary Normally Open operation,
then the Forced Alert mode will close the Alert Relay until it is manually reset.

Additionally, when in the Alert Test or Forced Alert mode, the Alert indicator on the front
panel will blink green and the Alert Modbus data is updated.

4.5.6. Alerts and Multiple Monitoring Technologies
When multiple technologies are installed in a GuardII+, it is possible that each could have
                     a different Alert state.
                        • If any technology is in Alert, then the monitor is in the Alert state regardless of which
technology has caused the Alert condition.
                        • If no technologies are presently in Alert, and at least one technology is in Stale Alert,
then the monitor is in the Stale Alert state.
                        • If no technologies are in Alert or Stale Alert, then the monitor is in the non-Alerted
                            state.
                        • An Alert Test state takes priority over all other Alerts states.

              4.5.7. Resetting an Alert

Once an Alert has occurred and any necessary actions taken as a result, there are two
methods that can be used to reset the GuardII+ Alert state.

                        • Press the Alert button as described in Section 6.5.1.
                        • Use IAM as described in Section 6.6.
                                     NOTE:
Resetting the GuardII+ Alert state does not change the Alert settings
programmed into the monitor; if the settings are not changed and the
measurement results stay the same, then the Alert will occur again.
                        When the Alert is reset:

                        • The panel Alert indicator will turn off.
                        • The Alert indicators (on the panel and internal) revert to the non-Alert state.
                        • The Alert Relay will de-activate.

                        • The Alert Modbus data is updated.
