Installation

                        • For limit values such as maximum conductor size and screw tightening torque, refer to
                            Section 3.

              5.2. Sensor Termination Boxes

GuardII+ requires separate sensor input for each monitoring technology. Refer to the
appropriate sensor Installation Guides for instructions to install the sensors and the associated
                     termination box.

              5.3. Preparation

Once unpacked, the monitor should remain at the place of installation for at least two hours
to ensure ambient temperature equalization and to prevent moisture condensation before
energizing. The same packing can be reused for future shipping, when required.

              5.4. Remove Electronics

Before mounting the monitor or drilling holes in the enclosure, the electronics must be
removed. The procedure is slightly different depending on the style of the enclosure.

Start by disconnecting the ground cable between the electronics chassis and the
enclosure. Remove the nut holding the ground cable in place and disconnect the wire to the
enclosure. Put the nut back on the ground stud so it does not get lost.
Note that in Figure 5-1 below, parts of the monitor have been removed to make the
                     diagram clearer.

Loosen the four corner screws on the chassis. The two screws on the top edge are
captive, but the ones on the bottom edge need to be removed completely and have separate
washers; take care not to lose them. A #2 Philips screwdriver with a shank at least 6” long is
                     required.
