User Instructions
NOTE:
Any EV signal can be connected to any EV input, with one exception;
signals that are linked, must be connected to the same physical connector.
This means that linked signals can be connected to (for example) EV1 and
EV2, or EV15 and EV16. Linked signals cannot be connected to EV1 and
EV3, or to EV6 and EV7.
This is handled automatically by the software; when one half of a linked
signal is assigned, the other half is automatically assigned as well.
6.3.4. Operating Point Configuration
Operating point configuration is a needed for the EV Trigger system to fully function;
without this information, some Triggers cannot occur. Refer to Section 4.6 for EV Trigger
details.
There are 4 pieces of data that need to be entered:
• The minimum load required to determine the Full Load condition.
• The maximum load required to determine the Reduced Load condition.
• The minimum temperature required to determine the Hot condition.
• The maximum temperature required to determine the Cold condition.
The machine’s operating point is determined by the combination of a load condition and a
temperature condition; for example, when the active power read from Modbus is greater than
the Full Load condition, and the stator temperature read from Modbus is greater than the Hot
condition, then the operating point is Full Load Hot (FLH).
Press the ‘Set Defaults’ button to set the parameters based on the Asset ratings:
• The minimum Full Load will be set to 80% of the rated load.
• The maximum Reduced Load will be set to 50% of the rated load.
• The minimum Hot temperature will be set to 80% of the rated temperature.
• The maximum Cold temperature will be set to 70 % of the rated temperature.
