6.3.1. General Configuration
Every GuardII+ has four common pieces of configuration information. These are
accessible on the ‘General’ configuration part of the application:
• Ethernet Address – enter the static IP address that the monitor will use. If an Ethernet
gateway is not required, then a gateway address of “255.255.255.255” will disable it.
• Alert Relay contact behavior – this is set for either “Disabled”, “Normally Open
Latching”, “Normally Open Momentary”, “Normally Closed Latching” or “Normally
Closed Momentary”.
• Line Frequency – this is the operating frequency of the asset being monitored.
• Clock synchronization – this is used to set the clock in the monitor when the settings
are uploaded. The clock can either be set to match the computer used for the
configuration or set to a specific time-zone.

6.3.2. ASIM/DSIM Configuration
Every GuardII+ also has an Operating Condition configuration, referred to as “ASIM/DSIM”
in the configuration application. Each Operating Condition is acquired through Modbus over
TCP/IP; the ambient conditions may optionally be acquired from a locally connected ambient
sensor.
When configuring an EV system, the available operating conditions are:
• Active power
• Reactive power
