Gender
Equality
Gender equality refers to equality between men and women, including
equal opportunities, equal access to resources, shared economic
responsibility and decision-making processes, and equal attitudes
toward women in society. Gender equality is integral to women’s rights.
Gender wage gaps are still typical in markets operated in most developing
countries. The World Economic Forum’s report on gender wage gaps in
2021 found that gender wage gaps between women and men are still
growing, especially in the workplace and in political representation. Yet
gender diversity in high tech is on the rise, and predictions claim that
women will comprise 33% of the workforce in this field.
