\ Interim goals

5.1 Eliminating all forms of discrimination against women and girls the world
over.

5.2 Eradicating all forms of violence against women and girls in the private and
public sectors, including trafficking and sexual assault.

5.3 Eradicating all forms of violent conduct, such as child and forced marriages,
and female genital mutilation.

5.4 Acknowledging and recognizing the value of unpaid care and household
chores by providing employer provisions in public services, infrastructure

policies, social protection, and promoting shared responsibility among all
household members.

5.5 Ensuring full and effective female participation and equal opportunities for
female leadership in decision-making procedures at all levels in the political,
economic, and public realms.

5.6 Ensuring international access to health services for sexual and reproductive
rights.

5.7 Driving reforms that would provide women with equal rights to economic
resources, e.g., rights to ownership of land and other assets, natural and
household resources, and financial services, in keeping with local laws.

5.8 Boosting the use of technologies that facilitate women’s empowerment.

5.9 Adopting and implementing sound policy and enforceable legislation which
enhances gender equality and empowers women and girls of all strata.
