Ideas for activities in the field – My Family and I

• Increasing awareness for water saving in domestic use. How much

water we consume at home (in the shower and garden)

• Installing water savers in all taps and dual volume cisterns in toilets.
• Avoiding discarding wet wipes in the toilet (impeding sewage
processing).

• Use of environmentally friendly cleaning agents (which later reach
sewage and seep into the ground).

• Using dishwashers and washing machines only when they fill up.

• Collecting air conditioner condensate water for watering the garden or

potted plants.

Ideas for activities in the field – My ICL Unit and I

First and foremost we will think: does our activity at the workplace have
an environmental impact? And if so, what can we do to reduce it? Who can
partner with me in the process at work?

• Promotion of water saving at the company’s offices.

• Adopting daily practices and passing on tips such as: turning off dripping
taps, filling dishwashers all the way (if used), installing drip irrigation in

gardens, fixing leaky toilets, etc.
• Promoting community activity on the subject.
