Tomato Soup w/ Grilled Cheese Croutons
You’ll Need
Soup
● 6 tablespoons Cannabutter
● Coconut Oil
● 1 can crushed tomatoes
● ½ cup heavy cream
● 2 tablespoons No MSG Organic Chicken Base
● 1 tablespoon pink Himalayan salt
● 5-8 cloves garlic, minced
● 1 medium-sized yellow onion, chopped
● 1 teaspoon/5 ml freshly ground black pepper
● 1 pinch/⅓ ml saffron threads
Grilled Cheese Croutons
● 4 tablespoons CannaButter
● 4 slices multi-grain country bread, crusts removed
● Boursin Cheese
● 6-8 ounces Gruyère cheese, grated
● 4 slices white American cheese
● Garlic salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Steps
1. In a large sauté pan set to medium, heat the CannaButter or oil for 2-3 minutes.
2. Add the onions, and sauté 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden brown.
3. Add garlic, and cook 1 more minute.
4. Remove the pan from heat, and transfer the contents into medium saucepan.. Add the rest of your
ingredients and cover
5. Heat on medium low for about an hour.
6. Serve your Tomato Soup fresh and hot, with Grilled Cheese Croutons on top.
7. Gooey Grilled Cheese Croutons
8. Spread Boursin cheese on one side of each slice of bread.
9. Add the other cheeses atop the Boursin; then carefully pair two bread slices together, forming a
cheese sandwich. Repeat with the remaining two slices.
10. butter outsides of the 2 sandwiches. Sprinkle on garlic salt and pepper.
11. In a large sauté pan set to medium, heat each side of the sandwiches until a golden brown and the
cheese is melted.
12. Let them sit for 2 minutes; then slice them into 1-inch cubes. Scatter your Grilled Cheese
Croutons on your soup
