                         If the car could drive anywhere, where would it go?
                         After this, where will the mouse live?
                         This one is far away… is there one close to it?
                         If this one (pointing to a character) could go anywhere, where would it go?
                         If this one turned around, what would it see?
                         Which direction is easiest? Which is the hardest?

                     Feeling questions
                         If the dog could say how he feels, what would he say?
                         How does that one feel about being over there?
                         If the house could talk, how do you think it would feel?
                         When these two are together how do they feel?
                         What is the tree feeling now?
                         If there was one that is mad, which one would it be?
                         When this one goes there how does he feel?
                         If the girl could do/say … how would she feel?

                     Exploring questions
                         Tell me more about this part of the drawing/scene
                         Can you say more about this area?
                         What is happening over here?
                         If there could be something happening over here, what would be happening?
                         What would you say the temperature is here?
                         Does anything surprising happen here?
                         If the cat had a wish what would it be?
                         If a storm came up, where would the puppy go?
                         What is the safest place in the drawing/ scene?
                         What does this character “like” and “not like”?
                         If the bear in the picture could say something to this bear, what would it say?
                         What do you like to do/play the most at your mum’s (or this) house?
                         What do you like to do/play at your dad’s (or this) house?
                         What was your favorite vacation with your mum?
                         What was your favorite vacation with your dad?
                         If your (sibling) could change anything, what would he/she change?
                         What do you like/not like, or what does the character like/not like?

                   After meeting with the child, write the  story  out verbatim (as close  as you can
                   remember). There are some children who are happy with the idea of their narrative
                   being written in the moment. Once the story is written, look over the narrative. Look
                   for themes related to the  Child  and Youth Concerns Scale  items and  place the
                   examples  into the scale. Items include: Time, Physical Space, Emotional  Space,
                   Psychological Space,  Understanding Parent Separation,  Family Relationships,  Peer
                   Supports, and Community Connections.
