2- Two bezofuran derivatives (phenolic) Ratanhiaphenol I & II which
   are effective as UV-light filters and can be used as sun- protection
   pharmaceutical preparations.

3- Phlobaphene Krameria red, starch and calcium oxalate.

Uses: mainly used as astringent
1- In the treatment of diarrhea and dysentery.
2- In haemorrhage and haemorrhoids.
3- In industry, in tanning of leather.
4- In cosmetics, as sun protection pharmaceutical preparations.
6- In dental medicine as mouth washes (gargle).
7- In dermatology, is used for cleaning of wounds. (Tr. Krameria)

                             Kava –kava root

Piper methysticum Family Piperaceae.

Constituents:
       Kava contains a mixture of pyrones (substituted lactones).

Uses:
       It is used mainly in anxiety disorders (stress, restlessness) also in

insomnia as a sleep aid. As Anxiolytic, generally as antidepressant. Can be
used as alternative to the antidepressant chemicals, Benzodiazepines.

Advantage: Long-term use has no tolerance problems associated with
these chemicals (no addiction)
Safety: several recent reports showing sever liver toxicity (liver failure),
on prolonged uses. In some countries (France), the sale order of the drug is
stopped.
