1- Acyclic sesquiterpene hydrocarbons:

    α-Farnesene

Source:
α-Farnesene is found in the coat of apple, it is
responsible for the characteristic green apple odor.
2- Monocyclic sesquiterpene hydrocarbons:

 Zingiberene

Source: Oil of ginger.
   � The health benefits of ginger root oil can be
       attributed to its digestive, carminative, expectorant, antiseptic and
       anti-inflammatory properties.
   � Ginger oil is used in the treatment of rheumatism, nausea, travel
       and sea sickness, congestion, coughs, sore throat and colic.

3- Bicyclic sesquiterpene hydrocarbons:
 A- Derivatives of Naphthalene: Ex. Cadinene

B- Derivatives of azulene
They have Azulene nucleus C10 H8

Azulene is a non - benzenoid aromatic compound. The natural azulenes
are colored which vary in color from blue to violet or even green.
