NOSTALGIA
Ex-Management Trainee (MT) Training Experience
Vince Lombardi, in his quote “ The achievements of an organization are the results of
motivated and well trained individuals. They are the organization’s true assets “aptly describes the
importance of training in an organization and here in our HAL, Hyderabad, it’s our privilege to have
TTC which is our technical training center and has always been proactive and instrumental in
catering to all our training and developmental needs.
My association with TTC dates back to 2009 when I joined HAL as a 37th batch management
trainee and came to Hyderabad for on the job training (OJT) module, that’s when we first came
across Cdr. TVSSN Murthy Sir and his team who coordinated our training.
Murthy Sir is an ex serviceman and an epitome of discipline. In the very first interaction, he was
very keen in imbibing important virtues in us like the importance of discipline, time management,
hard work, honesty and dedication which had a considerable impact in shaping my character. He
opened the window of a whole new world called professionalism which was very important since
most of us were fresh out of colleges. The training module at Hyderabad was very systematically
designed including lectures regarding familiarization of all critical departments, experience sharing
by virtuosos in all fields, departmental visits etc.. Lot of team activities were conducted which helped
me in experiencing the significance of team work and leadership. We were taught vital management
lessons through the medium of cinemas. Also, we were constantly reminded to exhibit officer like
demeanor. All of these helped in shaping us into young officers ready to shoulder our
responsibilities.
Over the years, TTC has been conducting many training modules in a very proficient way. Any
query or issue raised is being answered by them in a flash. The best part is that the modules are
designed with the intent of maximum participation considering the convenience of the participants
like there are specific modules arranged locally for young mothers. Not only this, they have always
displayed compassion and empathy towards all participants and trainees by being proactive in
addressing any concerns or issues.
Last but not the least, I would like to conclude by quoting Mahatma Gandhi as he once said
“Live as if you were to die tomorrow but learn as if you were to live forever.” and it our TTC which
is shouldering this responsibility of giving all of us an opportunity to learn and grow.
Thank you….
