Pleasant Words from the Gospel

his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth
                   speaks. (Luke, 6:43-45; Matthew, 12:33-35)

And as for you, brothers, never tire of doing what is right...
                   (2 Thessalonians, 3:13)

For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence
the ignorant talk of foolish men. Live as free men, but do not
use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of
God. Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood
of believers, fear God... (1 Peter, 2:15-17)

... For, "Whoever would love life and see good days must keep
his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. He
must turn from evil and do good; he must seek peace and

pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord [the mercy and help of
God] are on the righteous... (1 Peter, 3:10-12)

And come out—those who have done good will rise to live
[to live the endless life of paradise], and those who have
done evil will rise to be condemned [to suffer the torment in
                   the hell]. (John, 5:29)

... Jesus... went around doing good and healing all who were
under the power of the devil, because God was with him.
                   (Acts, 10:37-38)

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
                   (Romans, 12:9)

Because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for
whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free. (Eph-
                   esians, 6:8)
