WISDOM AND SOUND ADVICE FROM THE TORAH
A man tor ment ed by the guilt of mur der will be a fu gi tive till
death... (Proverbs, 28:17)
... I have done this with a clear con science and clean hands.
(Genesis, 20:5)
... My bones have no sound ness be cause of my sin. My guilt
has over whelmed me like a bur den too heavy to bear.
(Psalms, 38:3-4)
Timelessness and Belief in Destiny
For a thou sand years in Your sight are like a day that has just
gone by, or like a watch in the night. (Psalms, 90:4)
I thought in my heart, "God will bring to judg ment both the
right eous and the wick ed, for there will be a time for ev ery
ac tiv i ty, a time for ev ery deed." (Ecclesiastes, 3:17)
The lot is cast in to the lap, but its ev ery de ci sion is from the
Lord. (Proverbs, 16:33)
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, be fore you
were born I set you apart; I ap point ed you as a Prophet to the
na tions. (Jeremiah, 1:5)
I know that ev ery thing God does will en dure for ev er; noth -
ing can be add ed to it and noth ing tak en from it. God does it
so that men should fear before Him. Whatever is has already
been, and what will be has been before... (Ecclesiastes, 3:14-15)
Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and
there is no oth er; I am God, and there is none like Me. I make
