                            The Importance of Prayer

The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on
Him in truth. He ful fills the de sires of those who fear Him; He
hears their cry and saves them. The Lord watch es over all who
                love Him... (Psalms, 145:18-20)

... Let us go at once to en treat the Lord and seek the Lord
                Almighty... (Zechariah, 8:21)

Ask the Lord for rain in the spring time; it is the Lord Who
makes the storm clouds. (Zechariah, 10:1)

"When my life was ebb ing away... and my prayer rose to
                You." (Jonah, 2:7)

So I turned to the Lord God and plead ed with Him in prayer
and pe ti tion, in fast ing, and in sack cloth and ash es. I prayed
to the Lord my God and con fessed: "O Lord, the great and
awe some God, Who keeps His cov e nant of love with all who
love Him and obey His com mands." (Daniel, 9:3-4)
