III. THE GUIDANCE SERVICES
1. Individual Inventory Service
Gathering of relevant information about the students that are very useful during
counseling and interview sessions.
2. Information & Orientation Service
Awareness of students on personal, social development, academic and work-
related issues is being enhanced through information and orientation programs,
seminars, trainings, flyers containing relevant information etc.
3. Testing Service
Assisting clients become more aware of their potentials, interest, values, attitudes
and intellectual capabilities through psychometric evaluation.
4. Counseling and Consultation Service
Assisting clients to understand themselves better, plan, make their own decisions
and cope up with their concerns.
5. Career Development and Placement Services
Assisting students become aware of opportunities relative to their career and
vocational interests and goals.
6. Follow up Services
Monitoring of academic formation of students through the different student
services using the structured terminal interview.
7. Referral Services
Referring of students, with cases beyond the expertise of the center, to appropriate
specialist/helping agencies as well as attending to referrals for guidance services from
instructors and significant others.
8. Guidance Extension Services
Extending charity and noble services to other communities and schools though
then Student Peer Facilitators Circle.
9. Other Special Programs/Services
A. The Datngon Youth Center, Hogpan Youth Center and are tripartite
partnerships between PLGU, IFSU and Student-Peer Facilitators Circle for youth
education and empowerment.
B. The Peer Facilitators Program is composed of trained students who act as
referral agent, buddy, peer counselor, conflict mediator, information guide, career
assistant and academic tutor to their fellow students
