CHAPTER V
THE GUIDANCE PROGRAM
I. RATIONALE
Guidance is necessary because of human needs and desires. Around us are conditions
and situations which reflect wasted human energies due to lack of direction and
necessary guidance. Normally, we do encounter problems and experiences that can
twist us to become either a better or a miserable person depending upon the kind of
processing we have received. In the process of wanting, of struggling and of striving
for something, we oftentimes turn into someone for help to at least have an outlet for
our pent-up emotions and feelings. Those who consider themselves all-knowing and
self – sufficient will never accept assistance of any kind. Often times, they will just be
trapped somewhere in the middle of regrets and confusions realizing how their life
could have been changed or improved if they had received some guidance.
Guidance then aims to assist an individual for a better change and to enable that
individual to properly live his life to the fullest. A Guidance Program is hereby
organized, set forth for its proper implementation, to quench and address the existing
needs of an individual-clientele.
