V.THE STUDENT- ASSISTANT’S FUNCTIONS

                     1.  To do messengerial work and other clerical works; and
                     2.  To maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the office and its surroundings.


                                                         CHAPTER IV



                             SERVICES PROCEDURES, POLICIES AND REGULATIONS OF THE
                                           GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING SECTION

                   I.     GENERAL GUIDELINES

                      NOTE: The official office hour of the Guidance and Counseling Section is 8:00-12:00AM and
                      1:00-5:00PM,  Mondays-Fridays  only.  All  clients,  staff  and  visitors  of  the  Guidance  &
                      Counseling Section shall at all times observe the centers policies and regulations and adhere to
                      the work flow of services in order to maintain order and smooth transactions.


                      1.  An entrance examination fee shall be collected from all incoming freshmen and transferee
                         students  before  they  are  allowed  to  take  the  entrance  examination.  (Note:  Currently,
                         entrance fee is being shouldered by CHED.)
                      2.  Clients and visitors are always attended to any time during office hours.
                      3.  Clients and visitors availing of the guidance services must accomplish appropriate forms
                         and submit to the Guidance Staff/Guidance Counselor for appropriate action.
                      4.  Urgent concerns are given immediate attention as soon as permission/ consent is granted.
                      5.  No counseling, testing and interview sessions shall be disrupted. Other clients are attended
                         to after the sessions.
                      6.  An  evaluation  form  shall  be  accomplished  by  the  client  after  availing  of  the  guidance
                         service/s before leaving the Guidance and Counseling Section.
                      7.  All students’ records shall strictly be confidential. Release of all or any of its parts will be
                         upon the discretion of the Guidance Counselor considering the ethical standards of the
                         helping profession. Duly signed request letter requesting the release of any record needed
                         for research and accreditation purposes is needed as necessary.
                      8.  Parents/ guardians’ involvement towards the welfare of a child is necessary. A letter shall
                         be sent to them informing them of the concern of their child when the Guidance Counselor
                         sees the necessity of involving them in the session.
                      9.  The  testing  and  guidance  fees  collected  shall  strictly  be  used  for  the  Guidance  and
                         Counseling Section’s activities, operations and related materials acquisition.
                      10. All requisitions of the center shall be within the limit of the budget appropriated for it and
                         requisitions shall be duly noted by the Director of the Students Services and Development.
                      11. All supplies and properties in the center shall strictly be used only for its operation.
