each fiscal year and before the next fiscal year’s budgets are
established.

Section 7. The Immediate Past President shall be the
Parliamentarian.

Article 6: Standing Committees
and their Duties

Section 1. Standing Committees shall be:
(a) Arbor Day (g) Publicity
(b) Audubon (h) Scholarships
(c) Awards (i) Social Media
(d) Exhibits (j) Ways and Means
(e) Garden Therapy (k) Welcome
(f) Library (l) Yearbook

Section 2. Duties:
(a) The Arbor Day Committee shall promote activities
that support the planting of trees for the celebration of Arbor
Day.
(b) The Audubon Committee shall be responsible for
an art poster competition with school-aged children as offered
by the Arkansas Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc.
(c) The Awards Committee shall keep members of the
Club aware of State, Regional and National awards available,
and shall encourage participation in such awards programs.
Award applications shall be submitted at required times.
(d) The Exhibits Committee shall consist of two (2)
Co-chairmen. The Committee shall be responsible for
Horticulture and Artistic Design exhibits.
(e) The Garden Therapy Committee shall be
responsible for senior activities at local assisted living
facilities, nursing homes or appropriate sites within the Bella
Vista community.
