Introductory Statement

Besides fulfilling its mission, the National Wildlife Federation is committed to providing you
with a work environment that is conducive to both personal and professional growth. This

handbook is designed to acquaint you with our organization and provide you with
information about the policies affecting your employment. You should read, understand, and
comply with all provisions of the handbook. It describes many of your responsibilities as an
employee and outlines some of the programs developed by the National Wildlife Federation
        to benefit employees.

No employee handbook can anticipate every circumstance or question about policy. As we
continue to evolve, the need may arise and the National Wildlife Federation reserves the right
to revise, supplement, or rescind any policies or portion of the handbook from time to time as it
deems appropriate, at its sole and absolute discretion. The language used in this handbook is
not intended to constitute a contract between the National Wildlife Federation and any of its
employees. Your employment with the National Wildlife Federation is at-will. It is your

responsibility to review new and/or modified policies as they are communicated.

This handbook has been written with the intent to comply with all applicable federal, state,
and local laws. Where federal, state or local laws are contrary to the provisions of this
handbook, the applicable laws will govern.

This handbook summarizes some of our employment practices and is presented as a matter

of information and general guidance only. Exceptions to policies may require the approval of
the Human Resources staff, General Counsel, or other members of the executive team.
