Moving forward, our diplomacy of deeds in priority countries will see:
Our focus in volunteer-driven development cover
maternal and child health, mental health, palliative care
emergency medicine, early childhood education, special
needs education and water and sanitation. While these
signat ure t hemes are not exhaustive, limited
resources require that we focus for aggregat ed and
evidence-based impact .
We will also continue to replicate successful
capacity-building projects across cities and countries,
strengthening Singapore?s reputation as centres of
excellence for healthcare and education.
More targeted recruitment and engagement initiatives
to grow a vibrant corp of Singapore Int ernat ional
Volunt eers who take on different roles as specialist,
generalist or in-field volunteers.
As citizen ambassadors, they help carry the Singapore
spirit of volunteerism abroad. Upon return, they form
vibrant and engaged networks of professionals with
enhanced cross-cultural understanding, able to
contribute to Singapore?s interests domestically.
Pivot YSE to being an incubat or and accelerat or
programme for more mat ure social ent erprises.
Aside from helping social entrepreneurs develop their
skills and build networks, we will also strengthen
accountability by measuring and tracking of social
outcomes generated by the SEs.
The above PD programmes demonstrate Singapore?s commitment to the region - in narrowing
the development gap in the ASEAN community and beyond. It also promotes Singapore?s
reputation in healthcare, education, innovation as well as sound business practices and
