                 SIF?s digital engagement efforts began in 2011 as smartphones and
                 social media were transforming how we communicate. Incidents like
                 the Arab Spring showed the world how digital networks could power
                 movements for change. As these events unfolded, and SIF turned 20,
                 we asked ourselves: Can we harness these forces for good, consistent
                 with SIF?s mission to connect and collaborate for change?








                 Our Bet t er World (OBW) is SIF?s response to digital disruption
                 in social engagement and impact. Since 2012, it has gained a
                 reput at ion as a leading st oryt eller for good and in 2018, it
                 garnered over 37 million online views and an online
                 communit y of over 740,000. Recently, it won several
                 international accolades as a thought leader in digital storytelling
                 and innovation. 4

                 4  In 2018, OBW won the International Not-for-Profit Case Study Award at the inaugural ?Making a Difference? Competition
                 organised by ESOMAR Foundation. It also won the 3rd Annual Shorty Social Good Awards which honours the best of social
                 media by recognising the influencers, brands and organisations on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat,
                 Musically and more. One of OBW?s stories won Silver in the Best Documentary Short category at the Asia South East-Short
                 Film Festival. In 2019, it won Impact Video category of the 7th annual Social Impact Media Awards that celebrate the best
                 impact filmmaking from around the world.
