❖ A brief overview of the project
My project topic was “Propose a Futuristic Delivery model
to address customer expectation & align with Business
capabilities”. Wipro had adopted shared services for its SAP
services back in 2018. But the concept hadn’t produced the
expected results, 1 year and it was still in its pilot form. So, I
was given the task to make it futuristic and at the same time
address the issues it was facing so that it could be
implemented in all other sub verticals. First, I started with
doing secondary research. What are the current trends in IT
industry, what are the client expectations? Then I learnt
about the recent developments in the IT industry. It took
me about 2 weeks to come up with the data. Then I went
SIDHARTH KHATUA for the primary research. Here came the difficult part. I took
interviews of all delivery managers and project managers
WIPRO allotted to big projects. It was a very difficult task as they

them was a difficult task. But my mentor came to my rescue
GENERAL INFORMATION and talked with all the managers and provided me with all
the required data.

❖ How is the normal day at the internship?
BTech: NIT, Rourkela
A normal day at the internship started with taking
Work Ex: Fresher interviews with all the managers and compiling the data at
the end of the day. Initially I was quite hesitant approaching
the DMs, but my mentor gave me a pep talk which motivated me to be proactive.
❖ What are the challenges faced during Internship?
Initial days into the internship I was totally confused about how to approach the case given and was quite
demotivated. My guide was travelling most of the time and was unable to give me time. My quarter review
went very bad. But after that I had a talk with my mentor who suggested me how to approach the case and
whom to talk to. That helped me a lot to align my thinking in lines with the IT industry. I maintained an excel
tracker writing my everyday developments and at the evening I used to meet my mentor and present him
day’s work. Staying positive and proactive throughout the internship period helps a lot. If the mid-review
goes bad one shouldn’t develop a mindset that his/her internship is done for. You still have 1-month time
to bounce back and do well in your final review. Increasing your visibility in the company helps a lot.
❖ What pre-internship preparation do you suggest for juniors?
Pre-internship preparation – Brush up your communication skills, power-point and most important of all
excel skills.
