❖ A brief overview of the project
They are two projects I worked on during my internship
tenure. First one was “Identification & Analysis of Profitability
metrics for Alternative Investment funds and Mutual funds”.
To define the profitability metrics, I looked in the cost
structure of the company and built a excel model to quantify
the distributor expenses. The model helps to make decisions
like whether a particular distributor is profitable to company
or not. To summarize it’s a descriptive analytical model which
helps in strategic decision making of the AMC. Second project
was “Analysis of European private debt landscape”. This
project revolves around benchmarking the developed
european players with edelweiss current schemes and look

GENERAL INFORMATION senior management and other days it is doing mundane excel
work. So, on average the day looked something like this:
Batch: PGDIM 25
8:30 AM: Reach office by this time. Talk with my
BTech: Andhra University guide/manager about the last day progress and take his
inputs
Stream: Civil Engineering
9:30AM-7:00PM: Spend the entire day by talking to various
Work Ex: IBM India stakeholders to gather data and make corrections to the
model.
Most of the days it is putting your head down in to the laptop to crunch almost 12 lakhs rows of data and
generating the insights. Sometimes it will be developing the design templates also.
7:00 PM: Meet the guide once again in the evening to clarify the doubts and work on any updates.
Leave the office around 8:00 PM
❖ Challenges faced during internship:
Time management is one of the major challenges, as there are lot of projects to do and I have to prioritize. At the
end I could not complete one project which I agreed to do so.

Data gathering is a challenge because they don’t
approach someone, and it takes almost half a day
to get that data. And again, its my responsibility to verify
whether that data is correct or not. If incorrect , there goes my entire day of work. Its my responsibility to keep
everyone in loop and keep them posted on the work completed. The challenge here is asking guide to take time
out of their busy schedule and my guide is not a person who asks for status which gives complete freedom but
