Betsy had invited few close friends for drinks Friday evening which was a pleasant surprise

for Dan. They had a great time.

Dan had told Betsy that we need to talk to Johnathan over the weekend. Betsy, though

intrigued at the word ‘we’ in place of the usual ‘I’, just nodded without any comment. They

agreed that the best time will be to call him on Saturday afternoon. Johnathan had already

confirmed his availability.

After a lazy brunch, they decided to retire in the deck. Dan refilled the champaign glasses

and called Johnathan.

“Hi Jon. How are you buddy? I am putting you on speaker as Mom is also here.”

Johnathan was surprised because his parents hardly ever called him together.

‘Not sure what is going on,’ he thought.

“Hey Mom-Dad. How come you remembered me on Saturday and that too together?

What’s up?”

Johnathan’s comment made Dan and Betsy exchange glances with adoring smiles. “What

is going on between us, you will see when we meet,” said Dan with an even wider smile

accompanied by Betsy’s soft laughter.
