“Wow!” Jon and Dan said, almost in unison.

Betsy’s triumphant expression was priceless. Dan loved it, ‘Did I just score 2 homeruns with one

shot?’ He smiled to himself, ‘apart from the win-win resolution of Johnathan and my conflict, I have valued

Betsy by allowing her to come up with the solution. Another win-win! You are learning fast Dan Webber.

“That is a fantastic solution Bet.” Dan said looking at Betsy admiringly and clapping his

hands lightly.

“Jon, you go sign a 1-year lease for the car you want. Just be conscious of the environmental

impact as you choose the cars.”

“Thanks Mom Dad. You made my day.”

“And Dad, if you don’t want to drive next week, take the most environment-friendly

solution – train or limo.” “I will pick you up and we will have my car to move around when

you are here.” Johnathan concluded with a delightful chuckle.

They talked for another 10 minutes about other things.

After hanging up, Dan and Betsy instinctively hugged each other fondly and kissed. They

deserved it for jointly finding a win-win resolution to a conflict that may seem simple but had

ominous potential.

Weekend started moving fast. Unknown to Dan, Betsy had planned two tickets to Dan’s

favorite baseball game Saturday evening. Thanks to her, the weekend was proving to be one

big, pleasant surprise for Dan.
