am reluctant to spend money on another fossil fuel guzzler. More so as this new start-up Tesla

Motors has developed amazing electric cars and is just few years away from creating the

ecosystem to support their successful commercialization. That is also the reason why Mom

and I have been using our cars for over 3 years.” Dan looked at Betsy who was looking at him

in admiration. “Do you understand my need Jon?”

“Ya Dad. I get it. Thanks for clarifying.”

“My need is not that complicated. I need wheels to travel around the campus. It is so

difficult to commute without it in our 140-acre campus, especially in the winters. I hope you

understand.”

“Thanks Jon. I understand. Is Zipcar the solution? Have you tried it?” Dan had prepared

well.

“Yes, I have Dad. Zipcars must be picked up and dropped at the same point, East Campus

Garage. How do I get to or from there?” He counter questioned. Irritation was evident in

Johnathan’s voice now.

“You have any thoughts Bets…?”

Before Dan could finish, Betsy interjected, “Now that both your needs are clear, the conflict

between your wants can easily be resolved.” She waited for the impact and continued, “Jon

would you have an issue with a leased car? What about you Dan?” She looked at Dan with a

flourish.
