“Seems exciting! I cannot wait to see what is happening between you two.” Johnathan

laughed, “When can I come home?” He was genuinely pleased. His parents’ visibly strained

relationship was a cause of deep worry for him.

Their passionate look at each other deepened their smile. “How about we come to

Pittsburgh? Betsy asked with laugher in her voice and an inquiring look at Dan, who smiled

               and nodded.

“That will be fantastic,” exclaimed Johnathan. “Should I book us at Hyatt Place?”

“That sounds great Jon. Book a 2-bedroom suite. You will know what we are celebrating

when we meet. We will arrive Friday week and leave Sunday afternoon. We will drop you on

               the way.” Said Dan.

“You will not need to drop me if you buy me the car that I have been asking for so many

months,” remarked Johnathan with mild frustration in his voice.

“That is what we want to talk to you about Jon.” Dan quickly responded. “This issue has

been with us for a while and I have been skirting around it. We want to resolve it today.”

“I know you want to buy a car and I do not want you to do that now. Our wants are

mutually impossible. As I have avoided discussing this so far, neither you nor I know the

reasons behind our wants; in other words, what is the need that is driving our want?” As he

stopped talking, Dan was not sure how Johnathan was responding to this, but he could see

that Betsy was rather amused. ‘She has never seen me being so reasonable,’ he laughed within.

There was complete silence on Johnathan’s end.
