u3a SiteWorks Navigation
You are going to become very familiar with the main editing screen of u3a
SiteWorks. This section is simply to show you what it looks like and to give you a
quick tour of the menu so you know what each item does. As you work through
the rest of this section we’ll be
discussing each of these in more detail
but not in this order. They are covered
in this workbook in the order that I think
will be most useful to you as each one
builds upon others.
• Home is fairly obvious and refers to
the Home page of the Dashboard.
• Updates advises us of software
updates.
• Posts is a new feature; they’re news
items or blog entries that you can
add to your site.
• Media contains all media and files
that we use such as photos, charts,
documents, etc..
• Pages enables us to edit existing
pages and to add new ones.
• u3a Groups enables us to create,
edit and manage our group pages,
offering a variety of page displays.
• u3a Events enables us to create
and edit forthcoming events that
can be listed or linked to other
pages.
• u3a Venues and u3a Contacts
enable us to edit and create these
items that are used as required on
group pages.
• u3a Notices enables us to create
and edit short-term messages to
members and visitors.
• u3a Settings enable us to control
the way our u3a name, group data,
toolbars, group venues and contacts
appear on our site.
