                Portfolio scope planning involves progressively determining and defining
                the scope of the portfolio. The definition of Portfolio scope forms the basis
                for determining what kinds of programs/projects the organization agrees
                to undertake in the portfolio.

                Portfolio Scope Definition
                Portfolio scope definition involves a further categorization of the types of
                projects and products that the organization  is expected to undertake. This
                process includes the assessment of the types of projects that fall within Port-
                folio scope boundaries and outside boundaries, determine best fit and con-
                figuration, Portfolio balance, and maximizing resource leverage.
