V. Safety helmets shall not be painted or decorated with adhesive stickers except with
Employer’s logo or other stickers required by the Contractor’s HSSE Department.

c) Eye and Face Protection
I. The Contractor personnel and workers shall wear suitable and approved eye and face
protection equipment as required by Regulation 13 Factories and Machinery (Building
Operations and Works of Engineering Construction) (Safety) Regulation 1986 when
carrying out any of the processes or operations.

d) Hand Protection
I. The Contractor personnel and workers shall wear hand protection equipment as required
by Regulation 32 Factories and Machinery (Safety, Health, and Welfare) Regulations 1970.
The type of glove shall be suitable for the respected activity, process or operation and
identified in HIRARC/JSA.

e) Hearing Protection
I. The contractor personnel and workers shall wear a suitable and approved type ear
protection as required by Occupational Safety and Health (Noise Exposure) Regulation
2019 and in zones where the wearing of such equipment is mandatory. Selection of
hearing protection shall be made according to noise exposure and the Noise Reduction
Rating (NRR) calculation.

f) Respiratory Protection
I. The contractor personnel and workers shall wear suitable and approved respiratory
equipment as required by Regulation 14 Factories and Machinery (Building Operations and
Works of Engineering Construction) (Safety) Regulation 1986. The type of respiratory
protection shall be suitable for the respected activity, process or operation and identified
in HIRARC/JSA.

g) Fall Protection
A fall arrest system is required if a worker could fall from an elevated position. The fall
arrest system should be used anytime at a working height of 2 meter or more is reached.
A working height is the distance from the walking/working surface to a lower level.

The full arrest system and accessories shall be provided but not limited to: -
