A 10-speed Bike

I remember one Christmas in particular when I was 11 years old. I wanted a new bike
more than anything else in this world. However, I didn’t have much hope that I was going to get
one. They were costly at the time, and my parents had 3 kids to buy gifts for. It wasn’t like I
wanted any ole regular bike either. I wanted a 10-speed bike. It had gears and brakes on the
handles. All of the fancy stuff.
On Christmas day I opened my gifts. Of course, I was excited but a little disappointed
that the bike wasn’t under the tree. Just when I lost hope, my mom and dad brought me out to the
garage to get something. Sitting there was a teal-blue and green colored bike with this cool
splattered neon paint design. It was really cool, and I thought I was the coolest with my new
bike. I exclaimed with excitement to my parents just how grateful I was and how much it meant
to me that they got me that bike. From that moment on I rode that bike everywhere.
From where I lived there was a little convenience store down the road, and it was all
gravel road but wasn't very far. Our parents would let us ride our bikes down to the store. After I
