Traditions

There are many traditions
that my family and I enjoy doing,
but we have a special tradition that
runs down the family bloodline.
One main tradition we do is every
night, we as a family gather around
and pray and praise God to thank
Him.
This tradition started with my
great-great grandparents, they
started doing this because they
survived a bomb testing in the
Bikini Atoll. The bomb testing
happened on March 1, 1954. The American soldiers had to test the bomb to end World War II
with Japan. During the day before the bomb happened, my great great grandparents were at
church, and they heard the voices of singers, the running of the kids, and the clapping and
stomping of parents as they sang. It was a beautiful moment to capture and to be with family.
Suddenly, a tall man wearing green navy armor and heavy buckle boots went to my great
great grandparents saying in a hushed tone, “ Y’all need to find a safe place or go to another
island please”, but there was confusion because my great great grandparents couldn't understand
what he was saying. The whole town was stumbling, screaming, and crying, and the clouds while
the clouds turned light to gray. They were shaking and they had goosebumps, but my great great
