74 The Unforgettable Moments in Life
items off from the quince. I had to wait. The event was no more than five minutes away from my
home, but those five minutes felt like an eternity. I couldn’t wait any longer. I kept pacing back
and forth, making sure nothing would be left behind. I can be a pretty patient person, but my
patience had left me. All I wanted to do was get home, give my five year old lab mix a
big-o-hug, and go straight to bed.
My dad was finally back. He told me to get a few things and head straight to the car. As
soon as I got in, mother nature took a turn for the worse. The loudest and hardest rain I had seen
in winter came down on us. My dad quickly gathered everything that needed to be gathered and
ran straight to the car. The drive home felt like hours when in reality it was a good five minutes.
Once we were home, my dad told me to leave everything
in the car. Once we got some sleep, we could take
everything out. When I entered my home, I was
immediately greeted by a middle-sized, brown, and white
dog. A smile appeared on my face, as I had not seen her
for almost all day. I quickly went to my room to take my
boots off. Once I stepped on the ground my feet felt light
as a feather. I felt as if I could fly. I went to my bathroom
to take off my make-up, fix up my hair, and take all
accessories off. I started by taking everything out of my
hair, but with acrylic nails on almost nothing was possible. That's when everything came
crashing down. I immediately started crying. My parents quickly came to see what had
happened. When they saw that I was struggling, they quickly came to my rescue and helped me
