bridges, 2 Road under bridges, 198 Minor bridges, more than 16 lakhs cum earthwork
and track linking. A nancial progress of more than `110 Crore has been achieved in this
nancial year, making a cumulative nancial progress of more than ` 350 Crore. The
project has recorded a physical progress of more than 94%.

6.5 Rail connectivity to Vizhinjam International Seaport, Kerala

An MoU has been signed between the Corporation and Vizhinjam International Seaport
Ltd (VISL) to link the Vizhinjam Seaport (11 km) with Southern Railway. The Detailed
Project Report (DPR) with an estimated cost of ` 1032 Crore has been submitted to VISL.
Southern Railway have conveyed in-principle approval of the project to VISL under 'Non-
Governmental Railway (NGR)' Model and asked VISL to remit the balance D&G Charges
for processing the DPR for approval.

6.6 PET Survey for new BG line between Raxaul and Kathmandu (Nepal)

The work of Preliminary Engineering cum Trafc (PET) Survey for new electried BG line
between Raxaul (India) & Kathmandu (Nepal) was awarded to KRCL. The work of rst
international project of KRCL was completed in a record time of 4 months. Final Report
with 1 in 50 gradient was submitted to ECR and the same was approved. Subsequently,
Railway Board had asked KRCL to submit cost estimation to carry out Final Location
survey and for preparation of Detailed Project Report and the same was submitted by
KRCL.

6.7 Final Location Survey for new BG Line between Raxaul and Kathmandu:

East Central Railway (ECR) have awarded Final Location Survey for new BG Line
between Raxaul and Kathmandu. Tender process by KRCL through IREPS portal is
progressing. Due to outbreak of COVID-19, notice of “Force of Majeure” dated
28.03.2020 has been conveyed to ECR.
