1.2.32 Contractors Test Certificates
The Contractor is to in accordance with the testing and commissioning section of the
ER's forward to the Project Manager certified copies of results obtained from testing
and commissioning.
The Contract works, or sections thereof, should be first tested, commissioned and
proved by the Contractor prior to offering to the Project Manager for witness testing. A
minimum one days' notice should be provided to the Project Manager of all testing and
commissioning requiring witness testing. Testing and commissioning results should be
forwarded to the Project Manager for his information and use prior to site witness
testing.
Should the Contract Works, or sections thereof, fail the witness test or not be available
for witness testing at the appointed time resulting in an abortive visit by the Project
Manager, the Contractor may become liable to a charge for the Project Manager to re-
attend the re-testing or re commissioning.
1.2.33 Timely Submission Of Record Documents
The Project Manager shall recommend to the PM that a minimum sum to be
determined by the PM is withheld from the Contractors final account pending
submission of approved record documentation as defined elsewhere in this document.
Should the Contractor fail to provide the record documents within the time specified
under written notice, the Project Manager is to instruct the works to be executed by
other competent bodies and the actual costs of this instruction shall be deducted from
the contract sum.
1.2.34 Drawn and Other Information
The Project Manager shall require 10 working days from receipt of drawings to
examine/comment and, if necessary, a further 5 working days from receipt to re-
examine, where the initial issue is not acceptable. These time periods are to be
included within the Contractors programme to ensure timely issue of information.
1. Provide calculations where applicable.
2. .Provide final sets of Operation and Maintenance manuals in accordance with the
main contract requirements (but shall be a minimum of 2 hard copies) inclusive
of drawings and CD-ROM of manual and drawings (AUTOCAD dwgs and PDFs).
1.2.35 Timely Completion of Outstanding Works
The Contractor shall be provided by the Project Manager upon Practical completion
with a list of incomplete and unacceptable works. The Contractor shall remedy the
incomplete or unacceptable works within a maximum of one week unless stated
elsewhere.
The Contractor is to produce a written schedule of those items, on the Project
Managers list of incomplete and unacceptable works that he is unable to remedy within
the written period of notice.
The incomplete and unacceptable works shall be valued by the Project Manager with a
sum of money withheld from the Contractors final account pending remedy of the
incomplete and unacceptable works.
