Clerin S. John
Jerome Lee Scholarship Recipient

Clerin S. John of Stamford, CT is a graduating senior at the Academy of Information, Technology
& Engineering (AITE) located in Stamford, CT. Clerin has earned a 3.94 GPA and is a dedicated
student. Clerin is a 4-year member of the Medical Mentorship Club (Co-President), the AITE Red
Cross Club, the National Honor Society and the Science National Honor Society. In addition, Clerin
mentors students as a member of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica.

Clerin volunteers as the Homework Club Coordinator with Building One Community where she
tutors immigrant students and adults in Math and English. Clerin is a member of the Harvest
Time Church Worship Team and during the pandemic served as a Vaccine Ambassador at
Stamford Hospital. Clerin has received numerous fine art awards where she has won musical
competitions; she is an accomplished pianist and violinist.

Clerin also received the AITE World Language Award and the AITE Science Department Awards.
Clerin will attend the University of Connecticut (Honors Program) and will major in Cell and
Molecular Biology Pre-Med track.
