Leon Nguyen
Jerome Lee Scholarship Recipient

Leon Nguyen of Stratford, CT is a graduating senior at Stratford High. Leon has earned a 4.25 GPA
and is member of the National Honor Society and currently serves as the Peer Tutor Coordinator.
As well, Leon is a member of the Stratford High School Math Team, the Mu Alpha Theta Math
Honor Society (President) and Science National Honor Society.

Leon is an accomplished musician and participates in the Stratford High School Band and is a
Drum Major, drum section Letter and performs with the Stratford High School Pit Orchestra and
Jazz Band ensemble. Leon is very involved in community organizations and is a member of the St.
James R.C. Church Music Ministry, Teens Ministry, Sunday School and the Sacred Heart University
Journey: Summer Theology Program.

Leon is an AP School with distinction and a recipient of the CABE Student Leadership Award,
Harvard Book Award. Leon is described as an optimistic, determined leader. Leon will attend the
University of Connecticut and major in Data Science .
