NAVITAS 2021: The Annual Festival
Three Days E-certification Course On "Intellectual Property Rights”
conducted by St. John Institute of Pharmacy and Research, Palghar

St. John Training and Development centre in association with Internal Quality
Assurance Cell (IQAC) of St. John Institute of Pharmacy and Research, Palghar
and EnvisBE Solutions Pvt. Ltd,. Mumbai conjointly conducted online a Three days
e-Certification Course on “Intellectual Property Rights”. The course was executed
effectively from 23rd- 25th June, 2021 through google meet platform. 62 Delegates
from Academics- Students and Teaching Faculty completed the course.

Mr. Benedict Mascaren has, Chairman and Managing Director, EnvisBE Solutions
Pvt. Ltd. Mumbai addressed the sessions on fundamental aspects of importance and
scope of Patents, Trademarks and Copyrights. A hands-on experience on patent
search using Google, Espacenet search engines enriched the delegates. A lucid
presentation and easy to understand explanation seeked the active participation and
motivated learners to clear the doubts. The informative sessions not only helped the
delegates in updating the knowledge but also generated inquisitiveness towards
enhanced scope of research.
Pharmazest: Virtual Oral presentation, Pharma-e-detailing, Debate and Quiz competition
at DLHHCOP, Ulhasnagar

“Pharmazest: Virtual Oral presentation, Pharma-e-detailing, Debate
and Quiz competition” was organized by Dr. L. H. Hiranandani
College of Pharmacy on 26 June, 2021. Total 217 participants

from 17 pharmacy colleges across four states participated in event.
Eminent evaluator for virtual oral presentation were Prof. Krishna
Iyer, Professor, Bombay College of Pharmacy, Kalina, Mumbai, Dr.
Subhashish Chakroboty General Manager, Global Product
Management, ACG Capsules, Mrs. Vinita Khanvilkar Associate
professor, Bharati Vidyapeth’s College of Pharmacy, Dr. Vinod
Gupta Assistant manager (Medical writer) Tata Consultacy
Services, Mrs. Dipti Abhyankar Assistant manager (Medical writer)
Tata Consultacy Services. Evaluators for Virtual Pharma-e-detailing
competition were Mr. Aniket Nighut, Portfolio Manager for Emerging
markets & Europe Cipla Ltd, Mr. Nikhil Sarothia, Program Manager
for GI business Abott India Ltd. Evaluators for Pharma Debate were
Mr. Raj Jaiswal Research Scientist, Abott Healthcare Mrs. Suparna
Patil, Senior Executive Finorion Pharma. Total Prize of Rs. 37,000
and winning certificates were awaded in all the categories.
Participation certificate were awarded to all the participants.
International YOGA Day Celebration at D Y Patil University School of Pharmacy
D Y Patil University School of Pharmacy had organized a webinar on the occasion of International Yoga Day on 21 st June 2021.
Total 51 students of F. Y. B. Pharma attended the session. Yoga is an important part of our life that helps in controlling an individual’s
mind, body and soul. It increases our mental and physical strength and keeps us calm. At the beginning of the session, Mr. Jenil Shah

(F Y B Pharma) welcomed all and gave a brief introduction of the speaker. Dr. Rakesh Somani, motivated students to practice yoga
daily. Mrs. Manisha Sonavale, the Yoga instructor, was the speaker of this session. Madam stated the importance of yoga in day to
day life and taught how to perform a few important asanas like Pranayam, Neck and toes rotation, eyes rotation, Kapalbhati, Omkar
Chants. The activity was coordinated by the sports club under the guidance of Mr. Pravin Naik, Student’s council In-charge.
