                                Dr. BNCP bedazzles at Avishkar Research Convention 2021

                                                    SVKM’s Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Pharmacy would like to
                                                    congratulate all the winners of the 15th Inter-Collegiate/Institute/Department
                                                    Avishkar Research Convention AY-2020-21 organized by the Department of
                                                    Students Welfare, the University of Mumbai that was held on 23rd June, 2021.
                                                    This research project proposal competition witnessed participation from all
                                                    colleges affiliated with the University of Mumbai across six categories and 4
                                                    levels. BNCP staff members, faculty, and students under the guidance of their
                                                    mentors bagged several prizes across multiple categories and levels. Dr.
                                                    Bhanuben Nanavati College also won the Overall Runner Championship Award.
                                                    We are proud to announce that BNCP not only shined in the PG and UG levels
                                                    but secured first place in the teacher category for PhD level as well. This was
                                                    won by Mr. Sankalp Gharat under the guidance of our principal, Dr. Munira
                                                    Momin in the Medicine and Pharmacy category.
      Our second-year B.Pharm students Ms. Palak Jethva and Ms. Hitanshi Mehta mentored by Dr. Tabassum Khan won second place in
      the undergraduate Pure Science category. At the post-graduate level, Ms. Vidhi Tanna, Ms. Akshada Mhaske, Ms. Sayli Dighe and Mr.
      Yogesh Nimbalkar guided by Dr.Sujata Sawarkar stood first in the category of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry; Ms. Dhala Illham
      guided by Dr. Aarti Prabhu received the second place in Medicine and Pharmacy. Dr. Munira Momin mentored the group consisting of
      Ms. Bharti Gupta, Mr. Jayesh Gupta, Ms. Darshana Sakpal, and Mr. Taher Vasowala obtaining a third place in the Engineering and
      Technology category. Consolation ranks were awarded in Pure Science and Medicine and Pharmacy categories to Mr. Kunal Patil, a
      mentee of Dr. Rashmi Mallya and Mr Zeeshan Patel, Mr.Vivek Basudkar mentored by Dr. Munira Momin respectively. “Heartiest
      congratulations to all the winners for this stupendous achievement and we wish them all the success in the future”
                                      International Yoga Day Celebration at VESCOP

                                                                             VESCOP celebrated International Yoga Day
                                                                             across three days on 18 , 19 th  and 21 st  June
                                                                                                  th
                                                                             2021 through interactive sessions, guest lecture,
                                                                             live yoga demonstrations and quizzes on yogic
                                                                             aspects via online platform. A guest lecture was
                                                                             delivered on 19th June by Ms Reena Madian who

                                                                             is a professional soft skills trainer and herself is
                                                                             practicing Rajyoga meditation since over 10
                                                                             years. The audience learnt from her the benefits
                                                                             and positive influences of Yoga on one’s self. On
                                                                             the 21st June, Asanas being the third limb of
                                                                             yoga were instructed by our respected Principal
                                                                             Prof. (Mrs) Supriya Shidhaye who is also a

                                                                             certified Yoga teacher and demonstrated by Ms
                                                                             Bhagyashri Parab, Assistant Professor which
                                                                             was then followed and performed by the other
                                                                             participants.
      The session started with prayer recitation and warm up practices followed by asanas in standing, sitting and sleeping positions. The
      session ended with Om Uccharan by Dr. Rajashree Hirlekar, Professor, Pharmaceutics. VESCOP celebrated International Yoga Day
      with the right spirit, divinity, dignity and grace.
