Online guest Lecture on, “Campus to Corporate: Successful Interview and Essential Qualities Needed for Fresh
Pharmacy Graduates”, at YTIP
YadavraoTasgaonkar Institute of Pharmacy, Bhivpuri, organised expert lecture on 12 th June 2021, on the topic, “Campus to
corporate: successful Interview and essential qualities needed for fresh pharmacy graduates”. Lack of previous experience,
nondirective approach and lack of systemic ability to interact with the interviewer at the student age, seems major obstacles especially
for fresher to start their career. Hence with primary intention to impart the necessary skills on how to face job interview and built up a
confidence in young minds the session was organised. The session was conducted by Mr. Prasad R. Bhagwat, Head- Industry institute
interaction and placements. S.I.E.T., Ghogaon. He highlighted various key factors like planning and preparation for the interview, time
constraints, self-analysis and importance of two way communication to make interview as an effective interview. He guided students in
the preparation of very precise and clear resumes. He also provided information that helps the students to give a direction to their
aspirations and interests with the key mantras for effective interview like positivity, confidence and attitude. The session ended with
confident and encouraged students with positive mind-set and attitude to invest their moderate amount of time for preplanning the
interview to avoid unfortunate occurrence and start their first step in new world of corporate.
Women Empowerment workshop at Khairwadi village, Panvel by NCRD’s Sterling Institute of Pharmacy.
NCRD'S Sterling Institute of Pharmacy, Nerul, Navi Mumbai; in collaboration
with the NGO Life Ananta Trust, organized a workshop for Tribal people at
Khairwadi village, Panvel in Feb 2021. Because of the current covid-19 situation,
financial crisis is experienced by villagers. Even though the college is shutdown,
the student council committee members of NCRD’s Sterling Institute of
Pharmacy, have conducted a drive to motivate village people especially women,
to make use of the natural resources as a source of income. In workshop, women
were taught to make decoration bowls from coconut shell, brooms from coconut
leaves, pen stands and show/wall pieces from bamboo etc. from resources
available in that region. The objective of conducting the program was to motivate
the village women to work independently so as to boost the women
empowerment. The event was coordinated by Mr Deepak Pokharkar, Head of
extracurricular activities committee.
