far - 9 and no need to work any harder.
Manage the hand. It might look natural to attack the clubs first but if
South has the Ace he will play another heart and now if the diamond
finesse loses North will be able to cash his long hearts. So we must cross
to a spade and take the diamond finesse. If it loses North cannot attack
hearts profitably and we can then address the clubs.
Play by winning the lead cheaply, crossing to the ÍK and taking the
diamond finesse. As soon as I get the lead back I play on clubs.
